A Day In The Life
Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy and Business Transformation, the Health Technology Business Strategy & Planning Manager is responsible for evaluating and executing strategic priorities and business development opportunities in Korea.
You’ll oversee a team creating strategic value for Korea, leveraging the breadth of our portfolio to create differentiated business models, and using our size and scale as a competitive advantage. You will facilitate cross-operating units to define, implement and monitor the strategic programs within these critical accounts that include co-development of a value proposition.
To be successful in this role, you’re a seasoned talent with strong strategic and business acumen skills, effective leadership, ability to lead and manage the execution of processes, projects and tactics, good relationship building, and has in depth knowledge of healthcare industry, environment and GPOs/IDNs.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, initiating, monitoring, tracking and/or prioritizing Strategy and Business Development projects and process improvement initiatives, and facilitating successful, on-time and within budget execution
Sets clear direction and management direction that aligns with defined practices and policies to evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures
Works closely with top management to ensure strategic alignment with overall corporate objectives
Directs day to day activities for multiple work-stream teams through managing project plans, resourcing, status reporting, resolving issues, identifying project risks and accountability for deliverables across multiple functional organizations
Establishes meaningful metrics and tracks against them
Responsible for project performance, risk management, administration, financial management, budgeting, and issue resolution. Perform strategic and market analysis for potential business opportunities in Korea including assessment of Medtronic strategic objectives and proposed transaction relationship/fit with those objectives
Identify Business Process Improvement opportunities in Korea. Develop plans to improve efficiency and simplify the overall business cycle. Manage the overall implementation of plans to achieve business process transformation
Work across Medtronic Operating units to co-develop implementable services and solutions that meet customers’ needs and improve patient outcomes
Minimum Qualifications:
Min Bachelor’s degree qualifications, MBA degree preferred
Min 10 years of relevant experience preferably in healthcare, pharma, or medical devices
3 years of people manager experience
